What’s your name? Marj Gibboney
What’s your business name? Paintbrush Wirewrapped & Beaded Jewelry
What do you make? Jewelry
Tell us a little about yourself – I moved to Grand Junction in 1997. I am married to my wonderful husband Don who has been a great source of support to me. I have two grown boys who now live in Arizona.
Where does your inspiration come from? My inspiration ultimately comes from God. We joined the Gem & Mineral Club here in town and took some classes and got hooked on the wirewrapping. I now teach classes on wirewrapping and am creating some unique and beautiful jewelry from the stones we have found.
Where do you do all of your creating? I work on my jewelry in a small area in our living room which has large windows and overlooks the Gunnison River and great views of the Grand Mesa. What more inspiration do you need?
Where do you sell your work? I sell at different jewelry, gun and craft
shows in the area. This year I have been accepted to show at the Art Center Show Nov. 20 -22, 2009.
Is your business full time? Part time
What’s your best selling item? My wire wrapped Pendants.
What do you do in your spare time? I bowl 2 times a week, hike, rock hunt and volunteer at my church.
What other talents do you have? Hairdresser, Braid leather key chains and ropes, Knitting & Crocheting, & Beading.
Is there anything else you would like to share? I love living here in Grand Junction, so many things to do.
Why do you think people should buy handmade? I think gifts are more personal when they are handmade. It’s also nice to get to know the artists who made the handmade items.

The wire wrapping looks so intricate, no wonder you are also good with braiding, knitting, and crocheting.

Where do you teach classes? I am trying to wire wrap some gemstones and would like some tips from an expert to improve my wire wrapping skills. I was also wondering where the Art show is located. Thank You.
